Nashville Zoo and other Random stuff

The weather was finally nice yesterday, so we took Grace and Cooper to the Nashville Zoo. Grace loves going to the zoo and was telling Ed about the last time she and I went. This was Cooper's first, but definitely not his last, visit to the zoo. We saw the usual zoo animals; Giraffes, Elephants, Tigers, Camels, and Lemurs. There were a few new additions including 5 baby Meerkats and a baby Giraffe. They were so cute. Grace, who loves being a big sister, pushed Cooper the whole day.

Snow...again!!!

OK, so I like snow. And I am definitely getting my wish granted this year. Monday we got about 6 inches of snow. Today we were suppose to get 1 inch, which we did along with 5 more. The only difference today was it was extremely cold(19)!!! But we did go outside for a few minutes. Cooper even got in on the action and made his very first snow angel.

So every one who knows me, knows that I love the snow. If it is going to be cold outside, then I want it to snow. Well, today I finally got my snow. It has snowed here several times, but today was a big one!! Grace's school let out early and I couldn't wait. We made a snowman, made snow cream(which Ed has never had), and had a snowball fight. Little Cooper was having his afternoon nap, so he missed out on the fun.

Food!!

Since I decided that I want to try and blog weekly, I had to figure out something to blog about. I mean Grace and Cooper only grow so fast. SO, I have added a page to our blog titled "Our Favorite Dishes." I am going to blog/post recipes of meals that I fix for my wonderful family. If you're like me, you probably get tired of fixing the same old thing every week. To break the boring dinner cycle, I started fixing at least one new dish a week. This is the dish I will blog about. I will post the recipe and what we thought about it. I will try to post a picture of my dish so you can see how it turns out. Most of our dishes will have pasta in them. I swear I was an Italian in my past life, because I love pasta and sauces of all types. We usually don't eat red meat, so I use either ground venison, turkey, or chicken if they call for beef. Some are healthy and some well, they are just good. I will even post the ones we didn't like. Who knows, you might! Well, I hope you check out our dishes.
